Young Justice: Starfire by Glee-chan Young Justice: Starfire by Glee-chan
Hello. Because of my Young Justice version of Raven, I've been getting counted comments and requests to do the other Titans in the new TV series style. For a long time I was holding back, not really interested in doing it... but I gave in today.

Pictures here is Starfire's character model in the style of Phil Bourassa of the Young Justice animated series from WB Animation. I used Wonder Woman as reference material, and various comic images of Starfire to make this version in Young Justice style. Because this is supposed to be a cartoon, I have to cover Star up... cause you know... her comic outfit is trashy.

Naturally I don't own Starfire or Young Justice, they are the property of DC Comics and Warner Brothers. The Television show was created by Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti

You know that the Young Justice Team wasn't started by the same Robin from Teen Titans, right? Teen Titans was Dick Grayson, Young Justice was Timothy Drake.

Yeah... that's common knowledge, I thought. Titans founding members were Robin (Dick), Kid Flash (Wally), Aqualad (Garth), Wonder Girl (Donna), and Speedy (Roy). Young Justice founding members were Robin (Tim), Superboy (Carl at the time), Impulse (Bart), Wonder Girl (Cassandra), and Arrowette (Cissie).

I think comic book!Starfire has my alltime least favorite outfit of any superhero ever. So major props for designing something that isn't too far removed from it, that invokes the core of the design, while being a LOT more dignified, and still maintaining harmony. Plus the touch of the animated design really brings it to life.

Yeah, I have to agree that Starfire does have an awful outfit. And bit 80's hair too. THOUGH they started toning that down a bit. Her outfit is hard to modify.

Nice! Hopefully with all this focus on Aliens in season 2 Star will make an appearance and sweep Nightwing off his feet ;)

I like how the whole of her eyes are green, it was really subtle in TT (the TV show) but it looks cool (like her comic incarnation) here :D

That would be pretty awesome, actually. Please show me the results of your cosplay when you're finished. I'm curious to see if it can even work in the practical world!

There is an Explanation behind why Starfire's comic outfit is "Trashy" The Comic version has to be able to absorb as much sunlight as possible to sustain her abilities hence th "Stripper-esque" Outfit, I Know people are gonna Argue about "Why Doesn't superman do the same thing?" well the Superman Costume is similar to Marvel's Fantastic 4 Costumes (The Unstble Molecular Fabric) only it has a Kryptonian origin (As far as I know.)

I guess Starfire can't borrow superman's fabric then.

Actually I imagine the cut outs in her outfit has transparent material that let in sunlight to her body so she can use her powers.

Starfire always kinda looked like a skank in the comics. It's a bit hard to mix animated version and comic, just thinking about what those producers would say, lol

I like how you made a more modest version of her comic book costume. And can still make it out through the highlights. Not a bad design actually.

This outfit works on her. And she briefly wore a more covered up version of the purple suit in the comics in the late 90's :)
