Earth 14

Journal Entry: Thu Feb 7, 2013, 12:36 PM
Glee-chan's Glee Rants

As many of you know, DC Comics has a multiverse, in that parallel Earths exist along side the one being featured, and occasionally they either overlap in a story point or whole DC Comic eras are placed into one those alternate worlds.  Basically it's when writers get bored with their current set up, they do a reboot and just jump universes so they can start new.  This is nice and all but sometimes things you love gets left behind in Earth-whatever, and now you're stuck with a Superman/Wonder Woman romance and Cassie Sandsmark being a thief.  (FUCK YOU 52)
So I thought that since there are multiple earths, that a DC world should be reserved for me... cause I'm awesome.  The following is a list of things that I would put in place in my Earth.

My Superhero Teams rosters:

--Justice League of America

Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Aquaman
Green Lantern - John Stewart or Kyle Rayner *
Martian Manhunter
Vixen

*The reason I didn't pick Hal Jordan is because he's been such a douchebag villain so many times I can't ever think of him as a hero again.  I'm on the fence with Kyle, but John definitely has my support.

--Justice Society of America

Flash - Jay Garrick
Doctor Fate
Hawkman
Miss America
Spectre
Stargirl
Wildcat
Power Girl

--Outsiders:

Green Arrow
Black Lightning
Doctor Light - Kimiyo Hoshi
Catwoman
Owlman
Eradicator
Terra

--Titans

Nightwing
Donna Troy
The Flash - Wally West
Cyborg
Raven
Starfire
Beast Boy

--Teen Titans

Robin
Wonder Girl
Superboy
Kid Flash - Bart Allen
Static
Aquagirl
Miss Martian

--Birds of Prey

Barbara Gordon
Huntress
Black Canary
Zatanna
Hawkgirl
Supergirl
Indigo

*Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown (honorary members)

--Young Justice
(Yes, I know my Teen Titans team was the original Young Justice, but there are so many young heroes, I think a second teen team should be made, so why not?)

Aqualad - Jason Hyde
Arrowette - Cissie King-Jones
Osiris - Amon Tomaz
Solstice
Blue Beetle
Kid Devil
Zan and Jayna

The Bat-Family:
Oh boy this is going to be a big one.  Since I'm highly connected to the Bat-family (Tim Drake is my favorite comic character of all time after all), I have a lot to say on this one.  Let's get too it.

-- No Batman Inc.

It was a neat idea to have a Justice League of nonpowered/bat-themed world trotters in theory, but Batman can barely keep Gotham and it's surrounding area safe, now he wants to expand to the whole world?  And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what Justice League, Justice Society, Outsiders, Titans, and Teen Titans are for?  Batman should just keep his operations In the Gotham and Blüdhaven area, and have mini-teams for certain sections.

--No Damian Wayne

Damian is a redundant character.  Basically he's Jason Todd clone, created because of a new interest in him as Robin. "Here's a bright idea, let's add another dark character to the Bat-family!  We're so awesome!"  No.  He's a pointless add-on, doesn't contribute anything, and he's an annoying little snot to begin with.

--Catwoman's stupid fucking outfit

What is the deal with Catwoman?  She's either too functional where she looks ugly or tacky, or she's too sexy, where she looks like a whore.  Can't there be a freaking middle ground here?  Seriously the best outfit she had was in the the Animated series, only I'd take away the belt and give her Nightwing styled gloves (with item pouches) and no heels.  Any person jumping from roof top to roof top would not wear high-heels, sorry.  Personally I'd want her to be all black, but I don't mind the gray and black either.

--Kate Kane

Kate Kane should be obvious.  She only was a stand in for Batgirl, because the higher-ups in DC didn't want to take away their only disabled character.  SO they literally took Barbara's up-dated outfit and slapped it on Kate and said "It's Batwoman."  Add to the fact that she adds nothing to the universe other than a lesbian demographic and I color her useless.  If she has to be anything, I'd say she should be the new Oracle, since she loves standing in for Babs… which leads me too…

--Barbara Gordon is Batwoman.

I think instead of de-aging her and giving her magic legs, Barbara should go though physical therapy and medical procedures to get her legs back.  Then, like Dick Grayson did as Robin to Nightwing, Babs should graduate from Batgirl to Batwoman.  (And no, she doesn't have Kate's stupid mask).  It's high time that Babs gets what she deserves.  She never deserved to be crippled in a one-shot story then kept there because of PC bull-shit in the first place.  As a Bat-family head, Babs sidekick should be the new Batgirl…. which leads me too…

--Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown.

Man DC comics loves jerking these two around.  No more.  They will both be sidekicks.  Spoiler under Nightwing and Batgirl under Batwoman.  I had toyed with the idea of switching Cass to Spoiler and Steph to Batgirl, but I always liked Steph as Spoiler, and Cass lives to be Batgirl.  One day she WANTS to be Batman.  Plus Cass hates Nightwing, and thinks of Barbara as a mother.  So Cassandra is Batgirl, sidekick to Batwoman.  Stephanie is Spoiler, sidekick to Nightwing.  That's my final word on the matter!

--Tim Drake

Tim is Robin, plain and simple.  Not Red Robin… Robin.  Red Robin is a restaurant.  Tim deserved better than having his mantle taken away from him and given to a Jason Todd wanna-be.

---

And that's my picks.  What do you think?  What would some of your changes be if you had a DC Multiverse?

I like the way your universe works. I agree on most of what you say and think it would be cool to see a universe like that. The only thing my universe wouldn't include is a Barbra Gordon. I'm not completely sure why but I just hate her. I think her character is completely stupid. And its not because Richard Grayson is my favorite character and I just don't like him with her because I have no problem shipping him with other people. And its not because I don't like Batgirl as a hero. I'm personally a fan of the Stephanie Brown Batgirl. I just freaking Hate Barbra for some apparent reason XD

I thought Dick Grayson was the first Robin? (I preferred the first, but that is mostly because I dislike change - also its upsetting that Batman gets these son-like figures then loses them XD; ) (According to something I read once ((Well watched, it was a Youtube video about some new comics coming out for DC and marvel which they tend to review)) in one of the comics there is a ninth Robin already? ((or perhaps the ninth to be made)) ).

Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, and Damian Wayne are the official canon Robins. There have been other Robins in one-shot stories, alternative universes, and specials, but they don't count as canon. Oddly enough, Bruce Wayne has been Robin, Jubilee (from X-Men - in a Marvel/DC Crossover), and Carrie Kelly were also Robin.

These ideas are simply F#$*ING BETTER THAN THE STUPID NEW 52.

Excuse my language, I really needed to let that out. Woo...

Anyway here's a simple question, what would you do with the Superman Family? Any changes or whatever? (I would make Chris Kent apart of the Superman family, but that's because I love him) :D

I'm sure DC is taking your ideas under consideration;D Well no, okay, probably not, even though you are awesome. Given the popularity of AU's in comics, I really can't be bothered to come up with my own team.

I actually stopped reading just before Final Crisis.
Everything leading up to Inifinite Crisis was AMAZING! The whole universe tied together and great stories were told.

....than One Year Later and the first 52 happened. -_-
I was lost.
Everyone else was lost.
And we had to try to piece together a lost year. For what!?
...so I had to stop. AND it was getting too expensive.

Oh yea. And FUCK Damien Wayne. I love Grant Morrisons work. I do. ...when he's not writing licensed characters. Because when he does, he goes apeshit. Back to Vertigo comics with him please!

And thats really I got to say. To me, DCU stopped after Infinite Crisis.

Great reboot Glee Chan. I'd sure like to read some stories from your world. I really like that you included Cain and Steph seeing as DC made it abundantly clear that their not iconic enough to be in the reboot. And I also like that you included Raven and Donna. Being that wonder Woman's little sister and the half demon daughter of Trigon are my favorite characters. DC rebooted Donna out of existance and Raven might as well be gone seeing as she only has very small cameos in other comics (teen Titans #1 and the Phantom Stranger Story line). I finally, like how you included Wally West in your Titans. Most peaple see Wally as the most iconic flash in existance. He has made TV apearances in Justice League, Teen Titans, young Justice and Batman Brave and the Bold as the Flash or Kid Flash and to have him rebooted out was stupid. He also fits beter with the Titans then the Justice League seeing as that is the Team he grew up with.
